Robert J. Turrini, Retired

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of our good friend and much valued former partner, Robert J. Turrini, effective August 31, 2021. It’s never easy to bid farewell to a colleague.

Bob has been instrumental to the firm and its clients and will be greatly missed. On behalf of everyone at this firm, we wish Bob all the best. Those of us who know Bob are confident that the shift of his considerable talents and boundless energy will allow him to take charge and navigate his new and challenging journey.

Bob is a Marin native who joined the firm in 1981 and served as a leader in the firm’s estate planning group and concentrated his practice in business, taxation, trust and estate administration, probate, and real estate issues for many clients from our community.

By now, Bob’s clients should have received a communication regarding his retirement and introducing Cunningham Legal, a superb firm headed by James L. Cunningham, Jr. Everyone who knows Bob also recognizes that Bob does not make recommendations lightly.

Bob has recommended his clients continue with Cunningham Legal to meet their estate planning needs. Cunningham Legal offers offices across California with a team of highly qualified attorneys specializing in estate, trust, and tax planning work, as well as, a highly efficient staff.

With the retirement of our most senior estate planning partner, the firm has made the decision to no longer practice in the area of taxation, wills, trusts and estate planning. Nonetheless, at our firm we have a collaborative model. We have therefore welcomed Cunnighman Legal so that Cunningham Legal attorneys may provide their services to you, as well as meet with you, right here at The Freitas Firm, LLP offices in San Rafael or by video conference.
