A long time client of our firm fell and fractured his hip at an entrance to a building. During a later hip surgery he suffered a stroke which left him partially blind. We were able to establish that the ramp that he slipped on violated code and that the partial blindness was caused by the accident. After filing suit against the architect, contractor and subcontractors responsible for the construction of the ramp and others, we were able to recover in excess of $840,000 for him.
