Our client, the general partner of an almost 30 year old limited partnership, owned a 55 unit apartment complex. It was everyone's desire to sell the property and dissolve the limited partnership. Unfortunately, there was not a lot of agreement on how best to accomplish the goals of everyone involved. The difficulty was a contentious group of limited partners. Nevertheless, the sale was completed by facilitating the resolution of the limited partners issues as well as expeditiously and efficiently completing the sale of the underlying apartment complex. It goes without saying that the goals were achieved to everyone's satisfaction.
